Project Coordinator | Greater Chicago
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking a Project Coordinator, Construction to support the planning and execution of construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing documentation, and ensuring that all project requirements are met. The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. The candidate should also be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Documentation Management: Collect agreements, waivers, and ensure all required documentation is in the system prior to project starting.
· Financial Management: Document all costs, ensure expenses never exceed the construction budget, and update paid-to-date reports via Yardi for all properties.
· Change Management: Receive, review, and process quotes and change orders. Document the impact of change orders and reflect this in budgets and schedule changes accordingly.
· Risk Management: Monitor and manage project risks and contingencies.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree required. Civil Engineering degree preferred.
· 1-2 years of relevant experience.
· Solid understanding of the construction process.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Extreme attention to detail and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
· Proficiency in Bluebeam and AutoCAD or related programs.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Project and/or P6.
· This role requires travel by plane and car approximately twice per month, typically for a few days at a time.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 -$80,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon various factors, including an individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
