Project Engineer | San Ramon, CA

 

COMPANY OVERVIEW

   As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with the successful delivery of commercial tenant improvement projects. You will assist with project coordination, document control, subcontractor management, and ensure that schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met. This is a hands-on role that provides exposure to all aspects of construction project management.

 

RESPONSIBLITIES

·        Support Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing tenant improvement construction projects.

·        Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and close-out materials.

·        Assist with estimating, scheduling, procurement and lead-time tracking, and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.

·         Prepare and distribute project logs, status reports, and updates for internal teams and clients.

·        Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to support procurement and project execution.

·        Track and manage project costs and review subcontractor invoices. Ensure compliance with safety standards and project quality requirements.

·         Provide field support by coordinating with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors. Assist in punch list development and project close-out.

REQUIREMENTS

·Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent relevant experience.

·1–3 years of construction experience, preferably in commercial tenant improvement projects.

·Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software preferred.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

·Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

***Salary - $80-$100K with 10% bonus
