CAM Reconciliation Specialist
Hybrid and based in Greater Chicago, IL
We are seeking a CAM Reconciliation Specialist responsible for preparing annual CAM, real estate tax and insurance reconciliations, as well as supporting accounts receivable collection efforts. This position will review lease language, prepare tenant billings, monitor outstanding balances and work directly with tenants to resolve billing questions and collect payments while maintaining positive relationships.
Responsibilities
• Prepare annual CAM, real estate tax and insurance reconciliations and tenant billings using Yardi Voyager
• Review lease documents and abstract relevant information into Yardi
• Monitor eligible expenses and calculate proportional allocations among tenants
• Manage monthly collection efforts and follow up with tenants by phone and email regarding overdue balances
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collection activities
• Establish payment arrangements when appropriate
• Respond to tenant questions and provide supporting documentation and analysis
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment disputes
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and tenant communications
• Prepare collection reports and coordinate with internal departments and outside collection agencies as needed
Requirements
• Two or more years of experience preparing operating expense reconciliations
• Two or more years of commercial real estate experience
• One or more years of accounts receivable collections experience strongly preferred
• Experience interpreting commercial lease language and calculating CAM, real estate tax and insurance reconciliations
• Experience with accounting systems; Yardi Voyager is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organization and follow through
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities independently while contributing as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year. The position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including the selected individual’s skills, experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan and paid maternity and paternity leave.
